FARMERS NATIONAL BANK - About Us
Serving Northern
Kentucky
Message from the President
As I began my banking career, I worked at one of the largest banks
in the nation. I received the best in technical and procedural
training, and as opportunities presented themselves, I was able to
advance through the bank fairly rapidly. The satisfaction I received from my personal progress was tempered,
however, by my frustration of being bound to a system that tended to
stifle creativity. We went "by the book" on all loan decisions. We
were limited by our ability to see only black or white. As a result,
many good customers were told that their requests did not meet the
bank's criteria. I instinctively knew there had to be a better way. Why couldn't a
bank base its decisions upon the merits of a particular situation,
rather than a set of guidelines so strict that a computer could make
the decision? Why can't today's banks work with a customer, the way
they did 50, 40, or even 30 years ago? It was with these ideals still firmly entrenched that I welcomed the
opportunity to come to Farmers National Bank. Since 1931, FNB has
provided expert customer service to all our customers. We appreciate
the chance to know you, and to work with you in providing creative
solutions to all your financial needs. Unlike the big banks' narrow "black or white" guidelines, Farmers
National Bank excels at working with customers in the "gray" areas.
If your needs can't be met with a "by the book" solution, we throw
the book out and try again. Many of our most loyal customers have
stories to tell about our problem-solving abilities. But, most
importantly, our customers will tell you of a staff that welcomes
you to the bank, and a bank that tries to be an integral piece of
the communities we serve. We realize we will never reach perfection.
But that won't stop us from trying. Stop in and see for yourself why so many of our customers will drive
right past the big banks, or the bank next door, to bank with us.
And experience banking the way it USED to be - the way it OUGHT to
be. Mark Aulick
